Street Tag (2024 - 2026)

Join the Street Tag Movement for Active Schools and Win Fantastic Prizes!

Street Tag is a free, interactive smart phone app that promotes community wide participation in physical activities such as walking, cycling and running, turning the world around you into a virtual playground, where points are gained by being physically active and collecting virtual tags. Children young people and adults can use the app (as long as they have a smart phone) to improve mental and physical wellbeing through movement and competition, whilst allowing exploration of open spaces, assets cultural and points of interest within their community.

The app encourages residents to get out and explore their local area, finding virtual tags on their phone collecting points, increasing their steps and for those who are competitive, compete on either the school or the community leaderboard. Users can also drop tags for others to find and collect. And watch for challenges, hidden QR codes, and animated characters for bonus points! If you want to check out the website it has a great video / testimonials which better illustrates how the project works.

The app can be played either casually or competitively with the new competitive school’s season launching January 27th, 2025, with cash prizes for players up for grabs!
