Anti-Bullying Week 2022 - this month
Tuesday 1st November 2022
There are two weeks until Anti-Bullying Week 2022, which is taking place from Monday 14th to Friday 18th November and has the theme ‘Reach Out’.
Wiltshire Council is a core member of the Anti-Bullying Alliance and has committed to reduce the incidence of bullying and create safer environments for children and young people. We regularly monitor and report on children and young people's experience of bullying and work with local schools to put in place preventative measures to promote anti-bullying practice through the Wiltshire Healthy Schools programme.
The Anti-Bullying Alliance has created everything you need – entirely free of charge – to help you get ready for the event and bring the week to life in your school/setting:
- School Packs: For primary and secondary which include lesson plans, films, cross curricular ideas and assembly plans.
- Social Media Toolkit: Whether you’re a school, anti-bullying organisation, parent, company or individual, this Social Media Toolkit includes everything you need to take part in Anti-Bullying Week and Odd Socks Day on Social Media.
- Odd Socks Day pack and competition: Odd Socks Day is taking place on Monday 14th November to mark the start of Anti-Bullying Week and we have a school pack with an assembly plan and an amazing song and video from Andy and the Odd Socks is in the making.
- Sign up as a supporter and display a certificate.
- A resource for parents and carers to help them in having conversations with their children about bullying
- Resources from ABA Members
- Join the United Against Bullying: Practice-sharing Event for Anti-Bullying Week, (Thursday 17th November online at 4pm) where you can listen to our Gold United Against Bullying schools share case studies of excellent anti-bullying practice.
