CSE Awareness Day 18th March 2016
Thursday 10th March 2016
National Child Sexual Exploitation Awareness Day on Friday 18 March aims to highlight the issues surrounding Child Sexual Exploitation(CSE) encouraging everyone to think, spot and speak out against abuse and adopt a zero tolerance to adults developing inappropriate relationships with children and children forming inappropriate sexual relationships with their peers.
Please promote the #saysomething campaign and raise awareness with young people about the free national helpline and text service they can contact with their concerns. A new poster related to this can be downloaded here. Further information can be found at http://www.stop-cse.org/saysomething/.
You can find further information about resources and organisations available to Wiltshire schools to help protect children from CSE, including updated lists of resources that can be used as part of PSHE Education.
Further campaign resources can be found on the National Working Group website http://www.stop-cse.org/how-you-can-help/raise-awareness/ including further information about the day and how to get involved in the Thunderclap, hashtag #HelpingHands and other social media events.
