Fearless training session for secondary staff tomorrow
Wednesday 17th January 2018
Fearless.org is a site where young people can access non-judgemental information and advice about crime and criminality. What makes this site different is we also provide you with a safe place to give information to us about crime - 100% anonymously. Fearless is the youth brand of indpendent charity Crimestoppers.
This free session is designed to support raising awareness of the profile of Fearless.org amongst professionals working with young people, the session will include:
-
Review and recap of Crimestoppers
-
Introduction to our youth brand and activity
-
Equip you with all of our available tools & resources - focusing on Knife Crime
-
Session by our Gloucestershire Fearless youth worker - Knife Crime
-
Wiltshire & Swindon Police will be providing an overview of knife crime within the county
The training is suitable for anyone working with young people. In the past we have trained Safer Schools Officers, sports coaches, school nurses, teachers, Safer Neighbourhood Teams, youth workers and YOT workers.
Each attendee will be provided with the resources used in the Fearless session and asked to use these with the young people they work with going forward. We will be asking for a quarterly update on how many professionals and young people you worked with in relation to Fearless.
There is a morning and an afternoon session on 18th January at Gablecross Police Station, A420, Swindon. SN3 4RB.
