Free 2 day drug and alcohol awareness training during November
Thursday 26th October 2017
Wednesday 29th November 2017, 9:30-4:00pm at Corsham Campus, Corsham and Thursday 30th November 2017, 9:30-4:00pm at Monkton Park, Chippenham.
This free 2 day course, aimed at professionals and volunteers working with young people across the county is delivered by Motiv8 and funded by the Local Authority.
This course is particularly suitable for education, health and care staff, alongside charity workers and volunteers.
Day 1 of the course will focus on young peoples’ drug use, information on different drugs and their effects, before moving on to look at approaches to working with young people to reduce their use.
Day 2 will look at alcohol misuse, its effect on young people, how to work with young people to reduce ‘risky behaviours’ caused by drinking and training on the use of our Identification and Brief Advice Tool — DrinkThink.
