Free poetry, art, speech and song writing workshops for schools with service pupils

Although not all Service children experience difficulties, the lives of Service children can be more stressful than those of their civilian peers. Regular moves can make it difficult to settle in school, to make new friends, and to have access to a consistent curriculum. Pronged periods of separation from a parent is an upsetting experience and may be combined with additional anxiety, when a deployed parent is known to be facing the risk of harm.
Throughout the academic year, Never Such Innocence offers free poetry, art, speech and song writing workshops to schools with service pupils.
Some Wiltshire schools have already made links with Never Such Innocence and entered their competitions.
Creative practitioners work with mixed groups of tri-service and civilian children to explore different aspects of service life and the broader theme of conflict. These workshops are inclusive and can be tailored to your needs.
