Monday 14th October 2024
The IOPC Youth Panel is excited to announce this years’ IOPC Youth Panel survey on policing and the police complaints system! We would greatly appreciate if you could share this with the those aged 13-25 that you work with- in form/tutor time or on the school intranet can be a great way of getting engagement with young people, or sharing on your social media!

- Please also see the attached survey flyer.
The IOPC Youth Panel is dedicated to identifying solutions to increase young people’s trust and confidence in policing and the police complaints system. It is made up of 38 members aged 16-25 from diverse communities all across England and Wales.
We are here to listen to other young people across the country. As part of this we co-design, distribute and analyse the IOPC Youth Panel survey every year, with a following report on our key findings and recommendations to police and the IOPC (who oversee the police complaints system). It’s a great opportunity for young people to have their voice heard on a national scale, and by senior leaders.
The survey is anonymous, and we would love to hear the experiences of young people in England and Wales first-hand.
Here is a quote from one of our panel members, Morgan, on why he joined the panel:
“I joined because I'm part of four minority groups and I think increasing the diversity of these things is important as the outcomes become more realistic and relatable for outsiders who are a part of the same groups as I am.”
