Pre-school immunisations
Thursday 18th June 2015
Wiltshire primary schools are encouraged to remind new parents to ensure that their child has had all their pre-school immunisations, particularly their second dose of MMR (one dose is not enough to protect a child).
A flyer (which can be found here) was enclosed with a recent letter from Pubic Health and Public Protection, as a reminder for parents.
Wiltshire had a measles outbreak not so long ago, and we know there have been other outbreaks, in other parts of the UK and in Europe recently.
Protecting children from these preventable diseases is an important part of Wiltshire’s Child Health Improvement Strategy. We hope you will be able to help us increase the immunisation coverage locally.
