Spurgeons are running a national awareness raising campaign on Twitter to coincide with young carer awareness day.
You can join them by raising awareness of young carers and add your comments to their Twitter feed, using the hashtag #youngcareraware to get involved.
If you are working towards the Young Carers in Schools award (with Carers Trust & Children’s Society), then 28th January is a great opportunity to ensure that pupils in your school find out more about young carers – you can access resources and information through the carers trust website.
We are producing wristbands to be worn by teaching staff to promote our campaign to pupils throughout the day on 28th January; each wristband will be accompanied by a poster with facts and figures about young carers and suggested activities and lessons.
