Support for schools in preventing FGM

Today Wiltshire schools have been sent a letter highlighting some information about the issue of Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) and sources of support for schools in addressing and preventing it.
A copy of the letter can be found in todays new information on Wisenet (for Wiltshire Schools).
The letter provides some background information on the issue, highlights warning signs that a child may be at risk and clarifies related local safeguarding procedures and contacts.
