Wiltshire Council Interschool Debating Competition

We are excited to invite your school to participate in Wiltshire Youth Council's Interschool Debating Competition. This competition serves as a remarkable platform for young people to engage in constructive dialogue, explore important issues, and develop crucial skills that will benefit them throughout their development.
Date: Monday, 17th July 2023
Time: 10:00 to 14:30
Venue: Council Chamber, County Hall, Trowbridge
The competition will allow a total of 9 schools to participate, with each school having the opportunity to engage in 2 debates. This means that two pupils from each school will have the chance to represent the school, showcasing their talents and public speaking skills. We warmly welcome additional students, teachers, and supporters to attend and witness this fantastic event.
In the interest of fairness and taking into consideration the time of year, we are welcoming competitors from year 10 and year 12 only. However, we warmly welcome additional students, teachers, and supporters to attend and witness this intellectually stimulating event.
