Wiltshire Smokefree App and Health Coach support

To support people to break free from the harms of tobacco in 2025 Wiltshire have a new Smokefree App. The results from the 2024 school smoking and vaping survey told us that many smokers would like to use digital support to stop smoking and so this new option is available for smokers aged 12 years and over. Please feel free to promote the offer to staff, pupils and families.

Wiltshire Public Health have pre-paid for licences to include:

  • 6 months’ unlimited 24/7 access to on-demand support from NCSCT-trained advisors
  • onboarding call
  • an AI quit coach chatbot for anonymous support
  • updated progress indicators of the time smoke free, money saved, cigarettes not smoked, health improvements made
  • 95 badges, numerous certificates and ten other stop smoking tools
  • NRT by post for up to 12 weeks
  • a community chatroom for peer support FOR 18+ ONLY (this offer may be added in for under 18s in the future with appropriate safety considerations)
  • vape codes for a refillable pod device for up to 12 weeks FOR 18+ ONLY Under 18s will not be able to see or request vapes.

Pre-paid licences will be issued for Wiltshire postcodes at registration via https://link.smokefreeapp.com/wiltsres or with a QR code. If a member of staff would like to use this offer but lives outside of Wiltshire, they can access this offer using the school postcode.

Smokefree Wiltshire also have a new identity and landing page to help smokers to navigate the various support options available to them: Smokefree Wiltshire - Wiltshire Council.

In addition to the new Smokefree App, the landing page provides information on support through the Wiltshire Health Improvement Hub (Health Coaches) and primary care. 

Also coming soon are new training courses for adults and further resources for schools around smoking and vaping.
